Since 2004 JRB Historic Restoration LLC has provided restoration design consulting services including project planning, research, construction management and project implementation.

Specializing in Window Restoration and Restoration Carpentry, JRB Historic Restoration recognizes the craft and tradition, methods and materials used in constructing historic buildings and values the preservation of surviving original historic fabric. Through the conservation of historic materials or the accurate replication of character defining features, the sympathetic design of alterations and additions as well as the sensitive use of substitute materials. The company strives to help preserve the diverse architectural history of the Philadelphia Area.

With 30 years of carpentry experience and 10 years as a Historic Preservation Planner with the City of Philadelphia, Jeff Barr  (M.S. Historic Preservation, Univ. of Penn.)  founder and principal of JRB Historic Restoration LLC, is uniquely qualified to plan and implement historic restoration projects.
